What the product is.
PropsHub Manager is a web app for film and TV productions. It tracks film → episode → scene → prop, from prep through wrap. It is a tool for props, for the art department and for continuity. It is not a broad suite for running a whole production.

03 · Who it's for
Audience.
Prop masters, set decorators, art department coordinators and script supervisors on film and TV productions — from small indie features to broadcast episodic series. The interface ships in Deutsch, English and Español. The first market we aim at is Germany and the wider DACH region: its broadcasters and its production companies. Spain and Latin America come second.
It is not aimed at theatre, at live events, or at general asset and equipment rental. Those are nearby fields with tools of their own — see the comparisons below.
04 · What it does
Confirmed features.
A Film → Episode → Scene structure. Each scene carries its location, INT/EXT, time of day, cast, status and notes. Each film has its own prop inventory. The server adds up the props tagged on each scene and writes that sum into the inventory. So the count comes from the scene breakdown. It is not entered a second time.
Open-task checklists on each scene. Shoot-day scene cards in DIN A4, with the prop table and the open tasks on them — you can print them, save them as PDF, or send them by email. Spreadsheet export per film. A calendar view of the shoot days. A global command palette, and filters you set up as rules.
You can see who else is working in a scene, and a three-way merge steps in when two people edit the same scene at once. Read, write and deny rights per film, for single users and for groups, enforced on the server. TOTP two-factor authentication with recovery codes. An admin audit log with CSV export. An offline cache you can read but not write to, kept current by incremental delta sync.

06 · How it compares
How it sits next to the tools we name.
Against Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable and Notion: none of them can work a prop count out of a scene breakdown. You type the numbers in, and you keep them in step by hand. In PropsHub the count is worked out from the scene data. Side by side: /vs-spreadsheets.html.
Against broad production suites (Yamdu, PreProducer, StudioBinder, Filmustage, Movie Magic Scheduling/Budgeting): in each one, props is a tag in the script breakdown or a line in the budget. It is not an inventory in its own right, with counts worked out on the server. We found none that puts all three of PropsHub's parts in one product: counts drawn from the scenes, task checklists on each scene, and scene cards you can print.
Against Propared: Propared plans productions for theatre and live events. It schedules and it budgets; PropsHub does neither. PropsHub is narrower, and it is built for film and TV. Side by side: /vs-propared.html.
