propshub.online roadmap
The honest version

What we chose not to build, and what's next.

PropsHub is deep on one axis — props, scenes, continuity — and deliberately narrow everywhere else. Here’s exactly what that leaves out, so you find out from us instead of in week one.

No apology, no hedging. Just the current state and the order we’re closing these in.

02 · By design, today

Four things PropsHub doesn't do yet.

No script import

You break scenes down inside PropsHub; it won’t read a screenplay and do it for you.

If that’s the job you need done, Filmustage and StudioBinder both do it well — and either can be a step before PropsHub, not a replacement for it.

No offline writes

The whole production is cached on the device and reads at full speed with no signal. You can’t yet edit while offline — writes queue is the next major piece of infrastructure work, not a small patch.

No scheduling or budgeting

No stripboard, no call sheets, no crew database, no cost tracking. PropsHub is the props binder, not the production office.

It’s built to sit next to Yamdu, PreProducer or Movie Magic Scheduling — not to replace any of them.

No self-serve signup

There’s no “create an account” button. Every production is provisioned by hand — users invited, groups configured, access matched to who’s actually on the crew.

Tell us about your production on the request access page. It’s manual because provisioning is manual, not because we’re gatekeeping.

03 · What's next

Script import and offline writes are the two that matter most.

Every broad production suite we looked at — Filmustage, StudioBinder, Yamdu, PreProducer — has some form of script-to-breakdown import. It’s the single most common capability PropsHub is missing relative to the field, and the one most worth closing before anything else.

Offline writes come right after it. Set Wi-Fi is unreliable by nature; reading offline already works, and finishing the write path — so an edit made with no signal syncs cleanly once it’s back — is the next major piece of infrastructure.

Now you know.

If the gaps are fine for your production, let’s talk.

PropsHub is invite-only while we onboard the first productions by hand. Tell us about yours and we’ll set it up with you.
